On April 14, 2025 the Decree of Suppression of the Christian Life Movement (CLM), a Private Association of the Faithful of Pontifical Right, was officially notified (intimated) in the city of Rome at the offices of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, by virtue of the delegation granted by the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life. .

The members of the CLM accept this decision with filial obedience, a decision specifically approved by Pope Francis. We renew our faithfulness to the Holy Father and the Church, to whom we reiterate our fidelity and love.

From the depths of our hearts, we express our sincere request for forgiveness to all those who have suffered any form of abuse within the Christian Life Movement. We ask God for the gift of reconciliation for all, and we renew our commitment to collaborate with truth and justice on all paths towards reparation.

In the midst of this painful situation, we trust that the Lord Jesus, who does not abandon the work of His hands, continues to call us to live in communion, persevere in unity, and generously dedicate ourselves to the proclamation of the Gospel.

We want to express our deep gratitude to the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life, and to the many bishops and members of the Church who, in various countries, have welcomed us and offered their companionship and support throughout all these years.

We also extend our gratitude and affection to all the members of the Christian Life Movement and the Sodalit Spiritual Family, as well as to our families, friends, and collaborators for the journey we have shared.

Guided by the grace of the Holy Spirit, let us continue to be witnesses of the Gospel, with humble hearts ready to serve as apostles of reconciliation. Like Mary, let us treasure in our hearts the authentic fruits of faith, service, and apostolate that remain alive within us.
